Affiliate Impact Stories

Purse on Point affiliates benefit greatly from our events, seminars, training, savings challenges,  and clubs. Here are some of the ways our affiliates have benefited from our programs and events.

PoP Events & Seminars

Purse on Point holds a number of events and seminar aimed at empowering women. One such example is the Purse on Point Investment Seminar held in June 2023, where the affiliates learned valuable insights about self-mastery, real estate, and growth opportunities offered by the Bulawayo City Council.
The Investment Seminar was designed to provide women with the tools, knowledge, and confidence needed to navigate the world of investing. 
 
 

Grocery Clubs

Ladies at Purse on Point share groceries at the end of the year, and embark on projects they can focus on without worrying about daily household supplies. Special thanks goes to Schweppes Zimbabwe for their generous sponsorship and contribution to this cause.

Stands & Property Acquisition

In 2021, 20 ladies bought high density stands in Emganwini behind Food 4 Less BCC area, and in 2022 ladies bought stands in Cowdray park. 2 ladies bought commercial stands,2 ladies won long term property tenders from Bulawayo and Beitbridge city councils. We are in the process of documenting the transformative method of group saving,as most of them were low income earners saving $100 or less a month.

In the year 2024 ,About 23 ladies managed to buy medium density residential stands, 5 ladies had solar panels installed at their homes.  

52 week Savings challenge

Lorraine's remarkable journey in our 52-week money savings challenge began when she embraced the challenge wholeheartedly, and we are overjoyed to share that she saved an impressive $7,500💰
But Lorraine's story doesn't end there. Her determination and hard work have not only transformed her own financial situation but have inspired her loved ones as well. Both her daughter and her husband were left in awe when they witnessed the significant amount of money Lorraine had saved.
This beautiful story of perseverance has motivated her family to rethink their own financial goals and aspirations. It's amazing how one person's dedication can have such a profound impact on those around them.
Lorraine's story is a powerful reminder that it's never too late to start saving and working towards our dreams. Let her awesome journey inspire us all to take the first step towards financial independence.

GOAT FARMING

Purse on Point Ladies went on a Goat Farm visit to Bulembe Farm in Insiza where they were taught by Goat farmer and expert Sifiso Agbetorwoka .
The session started with a class setting where the ladies were taught on how to get started on goat farming and included a tour of the goat farm where they gained practical knowledge on goat farming.
