Purse on Point implemented the following programs in the past.

Academy for Women Entrepreneurs

The Academy for Women Entrepreneurs (AWE) gives enterprising women the knowledge, networks and access they need to launch and scale successful businesses. By promoting women’s economic opportunities and ensuring that women have the capabilities and resources needed to participate in the economy, the AWE program directly supports the U.S. National Strategy on Gender Equity and Equality. At a local level, AWE harnesses the power of public-private sponsors, local partnerships and U.S. Exchange Alumni networks to help women and their businesses grow, driving localized prosperity in communities in more than 80 countries worldwide.

She Pivots - LINC

Zimbabwean Mandela Washington Fellows Loice Kapondo (YALI-MWF 2017) and Thubelihle Ndlovu (YALI-MWF 2017) used a Leveraging Innovations in New Communities (LINC) grant to develop an entrepreneurial capacity building program for Zimbabwean businesswomen and conduct an online survey to gather data on the impact COVID-19 has had on women entrepreneurs as well as identifying the challenges they face in adapting to fluctuating pandemic restrictions.  Loice and Thubelihle used the survey results to create a virtual training course for 120 Zimbabwean women on financial literacy, branding, and online tools to assist teleworking.
